With easy access to Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Tallahassee, Lake City is an excellent choice for renters looking to visit some of North Florida's newest and most vibrant cities without having to deal with the crowds.

1. Haines City is as central as it gets in Central Florida. Haines City sits right in the middle of the state, just east of Winter Haven's lake-marked terrain and just off the banks of Lake Marion to the east. Haines City, which benefits from tourism created by adjacent Legoland Florida, is on the rise and boasts attractions such as Fantasy of Flight, the city's own vintage aircraft museum and experience.
