Florida, The Sunshine State is romanticized for its beautiful beaches, amusement parks, and national parks. For many of us, Florida seems like a worthwhile place due to the reasonable price of amenities, along with affordable tuition. I’m going to tell you about two regions in Florida that host the cheapest house rents.
- Lake City, formerly known as "Alligator, FL," sits at the crossroads of I-75 and I-10. This makes it the unofficial gateway to the state of Florida. It would be difficult to arrange a long-distance road journey in Florida without at least passing through Lake City.
With easy access to Jacksonville, Gainesville, and Tallahassee, Lake City is an excellent choice for renters looking to visit some of North Florida's newest and most vibrant cities without having to deal with the crowds.
One-bedroom average rent price in Lake City is: $601
- Haines City is as central as it gets in Central Florida. Haines City sits right in the middle of the state, just east of Winter Haven's lake-marked terrain and just off the banks of Lake Marion to the east. Haines City, which benefits from tourism created by adjacent Legoland Florida, is on the rise and boasts attractions such as Fantasy of Flight, the city's own vintage aircraft museum and experience.
